Tapered roller bearings are mainly subjected to radial and axial combined loads. Tapered roller bearings have tapered inner and outer ring raceways, with tapered rollers arranged in between. The projection lines of all tapered surfaces meet at the same point along the bearing axis. This design makes tapered roller bearings particularly suitable for compound (radial and axial) loads. The axial load capacity of the bearing is mostly determined by the contact angle α; The larger the α angle, the higher the axial load capacity. The angular magnitude is expressed by the calculated coefficient e; The higher the e-value and the larger the contact angle, the greater the suitability of the bearing for axial loads.
