Reasons and solutions for excessively high bearing temperatures!

Reasons and solutions for excessively high bearing temperatures!

1) Inappropriate amount of oil, too little or too much lubricating grease The bearing box should be refueled regularly according to the requirements of the work. Sometimes the temperature of the bearing will be high after refueling, mainly due to excessive refueling. At this time, the phenomenon is that the temperature continues to rise. After reaching a certain point (usually about 10°C to 15°C higher than the normal operating temperature), it will remain unchanged, and then gradually decrease.

2) The grease added to the bearing does not meet the requirements or is contaminated If the lubricating grease is not properly selected, it is difficult to form a uniform lubricating oil film, which cannot reduce the internal friction and wear of the bearing. The lubrication is insufficient and the bearing temperature rises. When different types of grease are mixed, chemical reactions may occur, causing the grease to deteriorate and agglomerate, reducing the lubrication effect. Contaminated grease will also cause the temperature of the bearing to rise. Dust falls into the grease during the greasing process, causing grease contamination, causing the grease inside the bearing box to deteriorate, destroying bearing lubrication, and causing the temperature to rise.

Therefore, appropriate grease should be selected. During maintenance, the bearing box and bearings should be cleaned, and the refueling pipeline should be checked and unclogged. Different types of grease are not allowed to be mixed. If other types of grease are replaced, the original grease should be cleaned first; during operation and maintenance Add grease regularly, and the grease should be properly kept to prevent moisture and dust.

3) Insufficient cooling Check whether the pipeline is blocked and whether the inlet oil temperature and return water temperature exceed the standard. If the cooler is inappropriately selected and the cooling effect is poor and cannot meet the usage requirements, it should be replaced in time or a new cooler should be installed in parallel. Axial flow induced draft fans should also check the insulation and sealing performance of the core barrel.

4) After confirming that the above problems do not exist, check the coupling alignment and bearings. The alignment of the coupling must comply with process standards. When aligning axial flow induced draft fans, hydraulic couplings, etc., the thermal expansion of equipment during operation should also be considered. The impeller side of the induced draft fan expands due to heat, and the bearing box rises; when the temperature of the hydraulic coupling increases during operation, the bearing box expands and the bearing rises. Therefore, the timing of the motor should be higher. The size of the reserve should be based on the characteristics of the equipment and Depends on the temperature parameters during operation.
